KPU CAPSTONE PROJECT
This capstone project for my Bachelor of Design program at Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) is a women’s techwear collection that merges urban aesthetics with technical functionality, specifically designed for the female body. The tail end of the project coincided with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, requiring a swift pivot to a fully digital workflow. Without access to physical fittings or materials, the collection was developed using CLO3D for patternmaking, fit simulation, and sustainable prototyping. Organized into modular layering systems—Hardshell, Softshell, Midlayer, Baselayer, Bottoms, and Accessories—it addresses real-world needs like mobility, weather protection, and expressive style. Born out of constraint, the project evolved into a future-facing design system that reimagines how women dress for dynamic, urban environments.
